Mother Nature Plays Havoc with CPSL schedule
The CPSL is only going into week four of its schedule and to date five games have been cancelled due to inclement weather.

The opening game on May 24th between Olympians and Toronto Croatia has been rescheduled for August 16th or 18th at Centennial Stadium, dependant on Olympians' and Croatia's final standings in the League Cup, preliminary rounds which concludes on August 9th.  These two teams meet this Sunday at Birchmount Stadium, kick-off time is 8:00 p.m.  Rumours have it that Elvis Thomas may be in the line-up for this weekends game!  Olympians will also be without their top goal scorer Eddy Burdusco, out for 4 to 6 weeks with a shoulder injury and John Matus, who has been suspended for three games for violent conduct in his game against the Shooters.

The CPSL will also attempt to get two more games in on the weekend if Mother Nature co-operates.  Both the Shooters and Astros will be looking to get into the win column this weekend.  The Astros travel to London tonight for a game at Cove Rd. and will be without Sam Medeiros who is sitting out a one game suspension.

The Sun Devils and Roma Wolves will battle it out at Dufferin/Clark to see who can move in third place in the League standings.  Shooters under new head coach Mr. Bijan Azizi will travel to Oshawa to take on new look Flames.  In pre season play, the Shooters downed the Flames 3-1.
