Olympians advance on penalties/Roma Wolves Dominate the Sun Devils
The very two teams that are battling it out for the League Championship will meet tomorrow at Birchmount Stadium for the CPSL League Cup Championship.  Toronto Olympians edged out Toronto Croatia 2-1 on penalty kicks and St. Catharines Roma Wolves looked very impressive taking the Sun Devils down 3-1.

Toronto Olympians were lucky to come out of the first half with a 0-0 tie.  Croatia pressured the Olympians right from the beginning and were unfortunate not to go up 1-0 at the 10 minute mark when Leo Marasovic rattled one off the cross bar.  Croatia looked more organized and moved the ball around with confidence.

Olympian goalie Brian Bowes was tested on numerous occasions but it wasn't until the 60th minute that Croatia scored, Joe Draganic let a thunderous shot go from about 40 yards out.  Bowes made the initial save but Leo Marasovic was there to slot in the rebound.  That goal seemed to spark the Olympians and 11 minutes later Eddie Berdusco converted a nice pass by Rick Titus to equalize.

At the end of regulation time with the score tied 1-1 teams proceeded directly to penalties.
