There were two games in the CPSL tonight:
St. Catharines Roma Wolves 2, York Region Shooters 0
Toronto Croatia 2, Durham Flames 1

ST. CATHARINES--St. Catharines Roma Wolves jumped to the runner-up spot in the CPSL standings with a 2-0 shutout win over York Region Shooters at Club Roma here tonight. Goals by Frank Delpriore at the 13th minute mark and Gary McGuchan after 33 minutes were enough to give the home side an improved 6-4-3 W-T-L record for 21 points, two behind league-leading Toronto Olympians. York Region Shooters drop to a 2-6-2
record.

There was some exciting action in the only other CPSL game played tonight when Durham Flames goalkeeper Pieter Meuleman saved two penalty kicks at Memorial Park in Mississauga, but that was not enough to prevent the home side Toronto Croatia finishing on top by a 2-1 score. Ante Musa opened the scoring for Croatia after 44 minutes for a 1-0 half-time lead and Paul Grguric made it 2-0 at the 63rd minute mark.
Dave Hartford reduced the lead for Durham two minutes from time.Toronto Croatia jump to third in the standings with an improved 6-5-1 record for 19 points and Durham are at 5-4-1, sitting in sixth position with 16 points.
