(Toronto Supra wins Group C to clinch the last semi-final position to join Ottawa Wizards (Group A), St. Catharines Roma Wolves (Group B) and Toronto Olympians (Group D).

TORONTO OLYMPIANS MAINTAIN THEIR LEAD
Toronto Supra clinch OZ Optics spot
Toronto Olympians lead the CPSL standings following a 4-2 win over North York Astros at the Esther Shiner Stadium in North York tonight. The game was never in doubt as last year's league champions held a 3-1 lead at half time on goals by Paul Moore (4 min) Sebastian Wodsazka (11 min) and Dave Mancini (29 min). Jose Aniekwe countered for the Astros at the 19 minute. Jim Bridge scored the fourth for the Olympians in the second half and nine minutes from time Paul Sincini narrowed the score to 4-2 for the Astros. Olympians improve to a 11-5-1 W-L-T record for 34 points while North York are 4-7-3 for 15 points.

Ottawa Wizards continued their relentless drive for the top spot, winning a 4-3 squeaker over York Region Shooters. Abraham Osman and Samir Karaga each scored a pair for the Wizards, while Stuart Black also scored two goals for York Region and his brother, Robert Black, scored a single. The Wizards have four games in hand over Toronto Olympians and now have an impressive 9-1-3 for 30 points and second in the standings.  York Region occupies the cellar position with a 2-8-2 record and eight points.

Glen Shields Sun Devils and Montreal Dynamites played to a scoreless tie but there were three red cards (two for Glen Shields) in a rough encounter at Dufferin Clark. The Dynamites are now in fifth spot with a 7-5-2 record for 23 points, while Glen Shields are 10th with a 3-8-2 record.

In the last qualifier of the OZ Optics League Cup, Toronto Supra clinched the last semi-final spot with a 1-0 Group C win over Toronto Croatia at Brockton Stadium. The Samuel Afriyie scored the lone marker for Supra, which gives his team 11 points for the four preliminary games played. Toronto Supra now joins Ottawa Wizards (Group A), St. Catharines Roma Wolves (Group B) and Toronto Olympians (Group D) in the semi-finals of the competition.
