OSHAWA FLAMES STILL UNBEATEN
In Monday's game at Etobicoke Centennial, the CPSL new entry for 1999 - the Oshawa Flames - remained unbeaten as they played to a 1 - 1 tie with Toronto Croatia.

However, it was Croatia that took an early lead in just the 5th. minute when a free kick by Tom Granic from just outside the area was floated across the goal and Andy Madeiros was there to head the ball into the net from just five yards out.

The Flames tied the score in the 21st. minute when they were awarded a penalty kick for a hand ball in the penalty area. Darryl Gomez calmly slotted the ball home from the penalty spot.

Despite chances for both sides, there was no further scoring and the two teams shared the points to remain in fourth and fifth positions in the league standings. Oshawa Flames are still unbeaten with a record of one win and three ties in their first four games.

The marquee match-up this week is on Wednesday when third-place Glen Shields Sun Devils host the high-flying Toronto Olympians at Dufferin District Park - kick-off 8:30 p.m. The Sun Devils have only conceded three goals in their first five games while the Olympians have scored twenty goals in their first four games.
