This game had been scheduled for a 3:00pm start but stadium availability pushed it to a 7:00pm start. The weather would have been 30oC (90oF) in the burning sun if the game was in the midafternoon heat so better soccer was played in the early evening when things had cooled off. The time change just meant that I didn't take in the Astro-Supra game as well. Yes I went at 3:00pm to find out there was no game.
1st half:...Talons defend east goal and run toward sun in the first half.
0:50 seconds...Italia GOAL..Maradona freekick from 25 yards finds open Gioa who heads ball in from 7 yards out.
2:45 min..Italia Yellow card to Perks for obstruction on edge of box.
4 min..Italia Gioa tries header on long cross, good low save by goalie.
9:50 min..Italia GOAL..Spadafina scores from 10 yards through a crowd on right side of goal after freekick from Gioa wasn't cleared.
23 min..Italia Caporrella takes cross but fires wide on short side from 10 yards.
27 min..Talons goalie palms ball over net as it scoots along at bar level.
28 min..Talons Yellow to Tyndall for knocking down Gioa.
35 min..Italia Gioa redirects cross wide left on one touch from 7 yards.
39 min..Talons Yellow to Bryan for knocking down Spadafina while Bryan was trying to break through.
43 min..Italia Sej takes shot after receiving pass but shot stopped on bouncer to goalie from 15 yards.

84 min..Talons GOAL..Shaw gets header to squeeze in from 7 yards between goalie and post.
86 min..Italia GOAL..Gioa nudges ball in after goalie runs past ball and defender knocks it back.
90 min..Italia Gioa steeplechase jumps over goalie but can't get to ball.
91 min..Italia Caporrella gets through ball but stopped on point blank save.

Talons score just their 9th goal in 15 league and cup games but give up their 70th which is almost 40% of all goals given up in this league.
Attendance was about 150 people of which the majority were travelling Italia fans.
