Final Score:.......Scarborough Astros...........0.........North York Talons..........0...

So a battle of the league's two worst teams ends in a 0-0 tie. It was actually a good game. Some of the shots were taken from a little too long range to have a good chance of going in.

Attendance was about 65 people. The threat of rain, the chilly night and the fact that even the League office answering machine didn't mention that the game was to be played in Woodbridge kept the crowd down. About a third were Talon fans. Ennio the Astros announcer gave away some more cell phones. At this late in the season, most fans have already won one so he can just find someone he knows and just outright ask them. There are fans who actually get phone calls at these games.

After the game I tried to get the name of the Number 10 for Talons who wasn't listed in the line-up. Even a Talons official couldn't go beyond calling him "Charlie Chaplin" which was what the Talons fans chanted when he took the ball and had some excellent 60 yard runs. He was a sub in the 2nd half and because he had fresh legs, he ran about 30% faster than anyone else so looked like those old silent movies which don't synch with today's projectors. Hey I'll go along with that name. He created a lot of excitement and Talons had momentum until the red card when they were forced to hang on.
