NEW BRITAIN, Conn.--The Toronto Lynx (10-2) won their tenth straight Friday, downing the Connecticut Wolves (5-6) 2-1 in front of 1,209 at Veterans Stadium.

Phil Caporella picked up his second game-winner of the season, running onto a pinpoint cross from Ian Carter to score in the 67th minute. The shot beat goalie Scott Coufal, on loan to Connecticut from Major League Soccer's New England Revolution. Lynx scoring leader Darren Tilley (6 goals, 4 assists) put Toronto on the board in the 58th minute, heading in the rebound of a shot by Elvis Thomas.

The Wolves pulled within one in the 77th, when Ian Hennessey buried a 25-yard free kick in the upper left corner of the net.
