TORONTO--Paul Stalteri scored twice to lead the Toronto Lynx (12-8) past the Montreal Impact (15-5), and back into second place in the A-League's Northeast Division. The expansion Lynx's largest home crowd of the season, 1,874, was on hand for the Sunday night match at Varsity Stadium.

Stalteri put Toronto in front with a hard left-footed volley from just outside the penalty area in the ninth minute, and boosted the lead to 2-0 in the 53rd with a shot from the same range.

Lloyd Barker saved Montreal from the shutout in the 70th minute, heading in Bill Sedgewick's cross from six yards out.

Toronto is now 2-0 against the division-leading Impact this season.
