Overtime victory for Toronto keeps them in touch of first.

from Sports Report Service

TORONTO--The Toronto Lynx nipped the Connecticut Wolves 1-0 on a goal by Kevin Holness in the third minute of overtime. The Sunday evening game drew 1,634 to Varsity Stadium.

Holness slammed a hard rising shot home from ten yards to end the game. Martin Dugas got the assist. Elvis Thomas has two good chances to win it for the Lynx in regulation, but was thwarted in the first half by Connecticut goalie Bo Oshoniyi, and sent a second-half chance just wide.

The Lynx played without injured starters Tom Kouzmanis, Paul Stalteri and goalie Pat Onstad. All are expected to suit up for the Canadian National Team next week in an exhibition against Iran, the first half of a doubleheader with the Lynx.
