from Sports Report Service

WORCESTER, Mass--Brendan Sullivan scored twice in the final seven minutes as the Worcester Wildfire (5-19) defeated the Toronto Lynx (14-10) 2-1 and snapped a six-game losing streak Friday at Foley Stadium.

Sullivan scored in the 83rd minute of his first A-League appearance to tie the score 1-1 and set the stage for Worcester's comeback win. Toronto goalie Joe Ciaravino got his hands on the ball, but was unable to keep the shot from sliding through for the score.

In the 89th minute, Sullivan slid onto the rebound of Matt Miles' shot and put it away for the game-winning goal.

The Lynx, who trail Montreal by eight points at the top of the Northeast Division standings, took the lead in the 66th minute, after Elvis Thomas brought the ball 25 yards down the flank, beat his defender and sent a sharply-angled 16-yarder past Wildfire 'keeper Jon Busch.
