from Sports Report Service

TORONTO--Sasa Zoric put away a penalty kick in the 93rd minute to give the Hershey Wildcats (19-9) a 4-3 overtime win over the Toronto Lynx (14-13) Sunday before 1,372 at Varsity Stadium.

Toronto remains fourth in the Northeast Division, but could finish the season in third with a win against third-place Rochester on Monday. Hershey already had clinched the Atlantic Division's regular season crown.

Hershey led 2-0 at the half, on goals by Don D'Ambra in the 14th minute and a 30-yard left-footer by Mike Feniger that was deflected by goalie Joe Ciaravino, but hit the crossbar and bounced into the net in the 34th. Brent Longenecker made the score 3-1 in the 70th.

The Lynx rallied for three second-half goals, two of them in the final eight minutes of regulation, to force the OT. Michele Gioia, who had a hat trick in his last game, started the Toronto comeback in the 59th minute. The Lynx got a break in the 82nd, when a Hershey defender brought down Terry St. Louis in the box, and Franco Spadafina put away the penalty kick to pull the Lynx within one. Another Lynx goal was called back before St. Louis tied the score in the 88th minute by heading in Daryl Holmes' cross from six yards.

Three minutes into the tiebreaker, Ciaravino was ejected. Roman Harapin faced Zoric for the penalty kick, and allowed the winning goal.
