Toronto FC Academy's Senior Team will start their Canadian Soccer League season against Portugal FC at BMO Field on Saturday. The match will follow Toronto FC's game against Chicago Fire with kick off set for 7:00 p.m.

This is the Academy's third year competing in the CSL. They narrowly missed out on making the playoffs in season one, and qualified for the postseason for the first time in 2009.

"To be able to play at BMO Field will be great for the boys," says Academy Senior Team Head Coach Jason Bent. "At this club, we try and ensure our players are in a professional environment, and the opportunity to play on the same pitch as the first team players, on a good grass surface, is great for their development. It will be a good thing for them to see the support of Toronto FC fans and to know they are part of this bigger club."

"Since the Academy started, each year we have shown improvement and that is once again our goal for this season. We made the playoffs last year in the CSL, and this year we want to do that again, but also progress further."
