Serbian White Eagles increased their unbeaten streak to 10 with a 3-1 victory over Montreal Impact Academy at the Saputo Stadium Saturday afternoon, while in the evening game TFC Academy stalled league leaders Milltown FC with a 1-0 win at Maple, just north of Toronto.

At the Saputo Stadium in Montreal, following a well played even first half that remained scoreless at the interval, Serbian White Eagles went on the attack and at 54 minutes Milos Scepanovic scored his first of two goals to put his side into the lead.

Scepanovic struck again 10 minutes later his second goal from the penalty spot, to move the prolific striker to the top of the CSL goalscoring statistics with 11 goals so far this season.

With the visitors looking like the stronger side as the second half progressed, Serbian Eagles scored again at 76 minutes when forward Sasa Viciknez beat Montreal Academy goalkeeper Dominic Provost to make it 3-0.

The play was held up following an altercation at the 84th minute mark, following which Armal Degrou of from the Academy side and Alex Braletic from Serbian White Eagles were both shown the red card.

Five minutes later a the 89th minute, Yannik Rome-Gosselin was brought down in the penalty box by Eagles' defender Marc Jankovic and Rome-Gosselin took the kick to make it 3-1, the score at the final whistle.

Serbian White Eagles move into a tie for second position in the standings following a steady climb since the beginning of the season. They now have a 7-1-3 WLT record for 24 points with a remarkably low 7 goals conceded from the 11 games played. Montreal Impact Academy now have a 4-7-4 record for 16 points.

Milltown have been similarly successful in their gradual climb up the standings and are still the league leaders despite a 1-0 loss to TFC Academy in a game that could have gone either way.

The lone goal to decide the close encounter came at 65 minutes when TFC forward Nicholas Lindsay drove the ball from just inside the 18 yard line to beat Scott Cliff in the Milltown FC goal.

TFC Academy improve to 7-3-3 for 24 points, tied for second with Serbian White Eagles and York Region Shooters at a congested top of the table that sees five team separated by just two points. Milltown FC are in a precarious top position with a 7-3-4 record for 25 points.

There are three games in the CSL Sunday, with York Region Shooters at home at the Joan of Arc ground in Maple with Brantford Galaxy, a 6 pm kickoff, Portugal FC travels to Victoria Park in Brampton for a game with the Lions, that's at 8.15 pm and it's the same kickoff time for a Toronto Croatia vs. North York Astros clash at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke.
