MONTREAL IMPACT ACADEMY DEFEAT TORONTO CROATIA 3-1.......Agourram scores two

Led by forward Reda Agourram with two first half goals, the Montreal Impact Academy defeated Toronto Croatia 3-1 at the Saputo Stadium in Montreal, the only game played in the CSL Saturday.

Agourram, last year's CSL leading scorer and Rookie of the Year who has played most of 2010 with the Montreal Impact first team, opened the scoring for the academy at the five minute mark. Collecting a pass from Simon Gatti, Agourram beat Croatia goalkeeper Sandi Matika from just outside the 18 yard line.

Agourram scored his second goal at 30 minutes with a drive that caught the top right corner of the net.

Toronto Croatia cut the lead to 2-1 when forward Tihomir Maletic beat Montreal keeper Maxime Crépeau at 39 minutes and the goal gave the CSL's leading scorer his 14th of the season. The score was 2-1 at the interval.

Toronto Croatia looked stronger in the second half, but Montreal went ahead 3-1 at 58 minutes on a goal by defender Bonheur Aubey who scored off a corner kick and the score held to the final whistle.

Montreal ImpactAcademy improve to 7-9-5 WLT for 26 points and are 8th in the standings, while TorontoCroatia have a 6-4-6 record for 25 points in 9th position.

There are three games in the CSL Sunday, when Brantford Galaxy visit Milton for a game at the Bishop Reding ground with Milltown FC, that's at 4 pm, York Region Shooters are at home in Maple to Brampton Lions, a 6 pm kickoff and it's TFC Academy at the top of the standings hosting bottom team St. Catharines Wolves at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke and that game will kickoff at 8 pm.
