TUESDAY'S GAME CALLED OFF...wet conditions postpone Toronto Croatia vs. London City match
2010-09-28

The one game scheduled in the Canadian Soccer League Tuesday night, Toronto Croatia vs. London City, was postponed due to the waterlogged conditions at Centennial Stadium following heavy rains during the day.

Several Toronto Croatia games have been postponed during recent weeks, a reason for the Mississauga-based team having four games remaining in its 2010 CSL regular season schedule, a six month long campaign that kicked off on May 8 and which has been extended to October 8 before playoffs begin the following Tuesday or Wednesday.

The playoff games will begin on Tuesday, October 12 or Wednesday October 13 with the first leg of a home and away quarterfinal series involving the top eight teams in the final standings. Milltown FC, York Region Shooters, TFC Academy, FC Hamilton Croatia, Serbian White Eagles and Portugal FC. have secured a playoff berth with two spots remaining.

The four surviving teams will advance to a one-game semifinal during the weekend October 22,23,24 and the one-game CSL Championship Final will be played on Sunday, October 31.

There is one game in the CSL Wednesday night, September 29, when Serbian White Eagles host St. Catharines Wolves at Centennial Stadium with an 8 pm kickoff.
