Attendance was about 100 people on this warm, sunny, and breezy day.

This game ended the same as the Lady Lynx first game against Rochester Ravens last Sunday with a 1-1 tie although not so heartbreaking as the Ravens tied on the last kick of the game in injury time. This time the Lady Lynx had some time to try to retake the lead and they almost did at 89 minutes when TLL Lisa Collison blasted a 10 yard shot that the goalie blocked and was injured on the play, TLL Carmelina Puopolo blasted a 6 yard rebound from the right that a defender got in front of deflecting the ball wide right for a cornerkick.

Referee Mack Meloche gave out a few Yellow cards to keep the game under control. Goal scorere Alyscha Mottershead was an early substitute having to come in at the 17 minute mark when starting forward Adriana Leon was levelled on the edge of the Amiral box by Kimberly McMullen who drew a Yellow card for this incident. Lady Lynx Kodee Williams at 38 minute had a 22 yard shot that hit the goalie in the head at 18 yards injuring her much the same as the MLS weekend game when Jacob Peterson blasted a shot off the face of the Wizards goalie.

Lady Lynx had a slight edge in play in my opinion but both teams had the chance to win. Amiral had played the previous day and beat Hamilton Lady Avalanche 2-0.

Last year the Lady Lynx beat both the Ravens and the Amiral in their home games (although the Lady Lynx were out of the playoffs by the time they played the Amiral in their final game of the season). This year it is two ties and that hurts their playoff chances with 2 out of 6 possible points. Perennial division winners Ottawa Fury this weekend beat Ravens 6-1. The Lady Lynx have one more home game next week before they go on the road. Sunday at Centennial Stadium against Rochester Ravens again.
