Attendance was about 250 on this hot sunny afternoon that was filmed by a full crew from Rogers Cable (including two cranes) for rebroadcast next Sunday.
Wizards must have practised shots against an even bigger barn door for today's game because they couldn't hit the target but Toronto Croatia players must have followed right after them. Wizards goalie Sa Brahima Treore bobbled many of the few stops that he had to make but earned the shutout. Referee Mike Lambert gave out only one Yellow card this game if I've counted right and it was a mostly clean played game.
Defender Russell Shaw played only 15 minutes today before being subbed by Danny Sanna. I can't remember seeing him play more than the first half of any game that I've seen but he assured me he often plays 90 minutes. I had an interview with Danny Sanna after the game; "The Trophy Magnet" I've titled it as of all the Wizards stars, he's the only one who's played for both the Toronto Olympians and Ottawa Wizards.
