Thunder beats City

City battled Western Conference leading Hamilton Thunder all game but lost 3-2
in Hamilton last night.
The Thunder (7-5-3) had the only goal of the first
half, Ian Bennett intercepting a pass and scoring in the 15th minute.
Ermal
Murataj pulled City even in the 55th minute with his third goal of the season.
Hamilton surged back in front with two quick goals, one on a penalty shot in
the 72nd minute and a goal by Dave Simpson three minutes later.
In the 87th
minute, Gentjan Buzali scored on a penalty shot after being punched in the head
by Thunder goalkeeper Dino Perry.
London tried to tie it up in the 90th
minute with a free kick, but Gentian Dervish's shot from 25 yards out went just
wide.
City (2-6-6) plays an exhibition game against the Western Mustangs
tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Cove Road field, before going back on the road to meet
Toronto Croatia next Friday.
