Final Score:.......Toronto Supra........0.............Hamilton Thunder.......0........

Attendance was about 150 on this warm humid evening. The Supra will play their remaining games at Brockton Stadium in downtown Toronto (Dufferin subway station south of Bloor) for the rest of the year and into the future according to manager Victor Cameira. The smaller stadium gives a better atmosphere for crowd size than the cavernous Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke. I got fooled on Tuesday by stupidly driving to the wrong stadium and tonight someone beside me got a cell phone call that their friends had gone to Centennial.

This will be a tough one to type the details of the game once I get time when the season is over because I couldn't read the black numbers on red shirt Thunder uniforms so there'll be a lot of "A Hamilton player...." I stayed sitting with a group of Hamilton fans as they could yell out "nice shot Leo" and I'd figure out who it was and it was even worth putting up with EVERY close check a comment "Where's the card ref?", or "Hand ball". I though referee Andrew Drazinski maintained control of this game without giving out any caution cards.

The field was somewhat muddy although it hasn't rained in Toronto for weeks so it must have been watered. We were all surprised at 33 minutes when the sprinklers turned themselves on and started flooding the field. Sure they were eventually turned off but it turned the midfield even slipperier. The sound system was quite murky (they must have borrowed it from a TTC subway station). A travelling ice cream truck must have timed its run so its tune blotted out 'O Canada'.

Oh, the game? Carmine Isaaco earned the shutout for the Supra. The Thunder would work the ball up to just outside the box but would pass once too often and not get away a shot. Dino Perri earned the shutout for the Thunder and had less to do. The Thunder dominated overall in the game but the Supra had some good chances near the end to win.
