Attendance was about 25 for this game on this damp humid afternoon with a pregame mist before the game and then the rain getting harder once the game started. Esther Shiner Stadium has a nice pressbox keeping me dry and writing notes.
This was a fairly even game with missed opportunities on both sides but the Wolves looking better for the last 25 minutes. Both goalies looked pretty sharp. Wolves player/coach Lucio Ianiero had been suspended as a player from a previous game so couldn't be behind the coach neither and had to watch from the stands.
Wolves needed to win this game to stay in third place in the Eastern Conference ahead of a late charging Toronto Croatia. Wolves have been short of players the last few games said general manager Armand Difruscio as some of their players left on school scholarships.
