LYNX ADD OFFENSIVE PUNCH!

April 15, 2003 (TORONTO, ON) — The Toronto Lynx bolstered their offensive attack with the signing of Argentinean, Jorge Sebastion Barclay for the 2003 season. Barclay, 25, played the 2002 season with Temuco De Chile of the Chilean First Division, where he was the team’s second leading goal scorer, striking 19 times in 20 games. With a professional scoring record of 30 goals in 90 games, Barclay is the natural goal scorer the Lynx have been looking for to replace 2002 top scorer and A-League Rookie of the Year, Niki Budalic, who signed with Sweden’s Orebro SK last month. Barclay began his professional career in 2001 with Tigre of the Argentinean 2nd Division and will join the Lynx in action once his international clearance has been secured. Lynx Head Coach and General Manager, Peter Pinizzotto, likes Barclay’s ability with the ball and expects him to be a force offensively this season.
