Attendance was about 70 on this warm night. (Yeah a big change from the 4000 at yesterday's Metro Lions vs. Portmore United game).
I'd have thought with Border Stars having been beaten yesterday afternoon 4-0 against Brampton Hitmen and having only two substitutes listed in tonight's game that Supra would have pulled away in the second half but it was Supra that was stalling and wasting time for the last half hour of the game as it was the visitors applied more pressure at the end of the game.
Supra defenders Garvin Houston, Robert Fran and Domagoj Sain cut down on the visitors' shots on goal with some good checking. Windsor wasted too many free kicks with blasts over the net or dribblers that the goalie got to unchallenged when the visitors held back charging into the box. The referee may have given out one card for dissent but I didn't see play rough enough for a card maybe because the game was in doubt until the end.
With the scoreboard beacon accepting the signal, I was able to get the scoreboard working and with the sound system operating was able to announce the goal scorers and substitutions which was much better than their game from two weeks ago. Of seven GTA teams, four of them have scoreboards so let's have them work if they can.
