9 min...VS Russell gets pass and runs up right wing then crosses across box to VS Rollins who from left bounces cross through box but ball cleared.

12 min...Lions Craig Patton GOAL...Patton gets pass on right and runs 20 yards down wing and takes 20 yard low shot that's into left corner of net on sharp angle from right beyond goalie Rob Scala.
16 min...Lions Craig Patton GOAL...Patton gets pass up middle from left wing and chests ball down and in clear boots 18 yard shot into top center of net.

Attendance was about 30 on this warm overcast evening with a steady rain starting from just before the 20 minute mark. The skies really opened up at halftime and with lightning in the distance the second half was delayed. There was no further lightning but the rain continued to pour down. After a 30 minute delay the stadium maintenance guys from the Parks and Recreation department of the city ordered the game halted. Even CPSL president Vince Ursini in attendance doesn't have the power to overrule the city. The fans didn't seem to mind the rain as with a crowd that small we could cower under the shelter of the entranceways and the 'boxes' erected in the last rows of the stadium where the U of T sets up their VIPs and journalists.
Craig Patton hit a post at 42 minutes five minutes after teammate Billy Ninopoulos did the same thing. Both team defenses were shredded but the the Shooters couldn't get their forwards to connect with through balls. They also had two freekick tries that were blasted into the Lions player wall. Lions goalie Greg Drakes earned the shutout and looked really sharp on a 24 minute stand up leg save on an in-clear Mathew Palleschi.
I suppose Craig Patton loses his goals from the record book and the yellow card given to Lions Justin Phillips doesn't count either.
