STALLIONS WIN FIRST OF SEASON

Wednesday - June 15, 2005

A goal by Hugo Herrera at the 23rd minute mark was enough to give Brampton Stallions their first win of the season in the only game played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League Wednesday.

The game at Club Roma in St. Catharines was a well-played affair and both sides had enough opportunities to take the victory. Roy Blanche was outstanding in the Brampton goal, making several key saves in the second half to preserve the victory, particularly after Stallions were reduced to 10 men following the ejection of Adolfo Mella.

Brampton improve their record which now stands at 1-1-1 WLT, while St. Catharines Wolves are at 1-2-1 and both teams are tied with four points at the foot of the Western Conference
