Wednesday - June 22, 2005

Toronto Croatia jumped to the top of the Eastern Conference standings with a goal in each half for a 2-0 shutout of St. Catharines Wolves in the only game played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League Wednesday.

It was Croatia’s second win in succession following their 2-1 victory over Laval Dynamites over the weekend.

Midfielders Hayden Fitzwilliams and Caswain Mason struck for Toronto Croatia at the 32nd and 78th minute respectively at Club Roma in a game that was never in doubt during the second half through to the final whistle.

Croatia improves to a 2-1-1 WLT record for 7 points in the Eastern Conference, while St. Catharines Wolves are at 2-3-1 for seven points and fourth place in the west.
