Windsor Border Stars and London City drew 0-0 in their CSL season opener in Windsor. Timothy Khaemba, a striker City had high hopes for, returned to Ottawa before the game and is not expected to return. No one is saying what happened, but a good guess would be it's about money.

City's next game is Sunday in Toronto against Toronto Portuguese Supra.

Londoner Anthony Vassallo made his Maltese Premier League debut with Birkirkara FC, the last game of the Premier League season.

Vassallo, who has worked his way through the club's youth system, has been in Malta two years. The 18-year-old Londoner made headlines four years ago when he became the youngest player in the Canadian Professional Soccer League.

It is only the second time Birkirkara has won the league title and it is now eligible for Champions League and UEFA Cup qualifiers in July.
