Playoff positions were decided with two results in the CSL Thursday night when Serbian White Eagles capped an outstanding inaugural season with a 3-0 shutout over Toronto Supra Portuguese and Oakville Blue Devils clinched the National Conference title with a 4-0 victory over London City.

There is one game remaining, a rescheduled Brampton Stallions vs. North York Astros encounter on Friday night following Wednesday night’s postponement due to poor ground conditions. Friday’s game will kickoff at 8.30 p.m. at Victoria Park in Brampton.

There were eight playoff berths up for grabs in Canada’s only professional soccer league and the official standing for playoff purposes is 1. Serbian White Eagles 2.Oakville Blue Devils 3.Toronto Croatia 4.Brampton Stallions 5.Italia Shooters 6.Laval Dynamites 7.Windsor Border Stars 8.Toronto Supra Portuguese.

The scheduled games in the First Round (quarter-finals) of the playoffs with tentative venues are:

Sunday, October 1 Bronte Stadium, Oakville 3.30 pm:
Oakville Blue Devils vs. Windsor Border Stars

Sunday, October 1 Victoria Park, Brampton 6 pm
Brampton Stallions vs. Italia Shooters

Monday, October 2 Centennial Stadium, Etobicoke 8 pm:
Serbian White Eagles vs. Toronto Supra Portuguese

To be arranged:
Toronto Croatia vs. Laval Dynamites

Semi-finals will be played at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York (Toronto) on Saturday, October 7 at 1 pm and 5 pm, with the CSL Championship Final on Sunday, October 15, that venue yet to be decided.

In Thursday’s games, Oakville Blue Devils had an easy time winning their last regular season game over London City at Bronte Stadium, helped by two goals at 40 minutes and 88 minutes by midfielder Andy Garcia with in-between goals by Petro Czoli, his eighth of the season, at 48 minutes and midfielder Milvoje Cecarr at 82 minutes. Goalkeeper Craig Boytchuk of London City was red carded at 90 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct, he had earlier substituted Ibrahim Hdzic who picked up an injury. The Blue Devils ended their regular season with a 10-6-6 WLT record for 36 points and London City concluded with a 3-13-6 record for 15 points.

And in the game at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke, the prolific Sasa Viciknez opened the scoring from the penalty spot at six minutes, his 21st of the campaign for Serbian White Eagles, Joshua Gordon struck the second at 25 minutes and Dragan Radovic hit the third 10 minutes later. Supra Portuguese midfielder Selmir Senic was shown the red card at the 63rd minute mark.
