89 min…Wolves RED card…Goalie Claudio Perri picks up his second Yellow card in the game for whacking Astros Selvin Lammie inside box after play had moved on. This was later explained as referee Amato DeLuca ejecting him for swearing because an infraction in the box would have drawn a penalty kick.
90 min...Wolves sub...Visca replaces ejected Perri in goal. Arghittu comes off for the Wolves to play a man down.
92 min...Astros Akuoko 25 yard shot just missed top right corner after ball crossed to him in crowd of players.
93 min...Wolves Stranges run on right and long cross has Wolves Pikuzinsky shoots wide left from 15 yards on left.
94 min...Wolves goalie fumbles ball but rolls onto ball on Astros rush into box.

Attendance was about 60 on this warm but wet day. I had to pull my car over on the drive here because it was raining so hard. The rain had stopped just before the game started but returned as sprinkles at twice more while the game was on. The play was rough with lots of contact and sliding tackles on the wet artificial turf.
Goalie Claudio Perri shared the shutout with back up Tony Visca who came in the last two minutes and the five minutes of added time. (no ball boys today and those are deep end zones). Perri had earned his first Yellow card at 54 minutes for holding onto ball to prevent Astros Janarthan Sadacharalingam from getting the ball over to the corner for a quick cornerkick before the Wolves players were back up field. Perri than went down like he’d been pole-axed but the referee wasn’t impressed. Visca had one save to make as in the last minute of injury time he fumbled a ball but rolled onto it as Astros players rushed into the box to play for a rebound.
Astros looked better than in their season opener when Italia Shooters jumped to a quick 3-0 lead and went into cruise control. Brian Carbajal looked like Astros best player with crosses and shots into the box. His best of many was at 84 minutes when Selvin Lammie had fallen and pushed the ball forward up middle and Carbajal’s 10 yard sliding shot on left was wide and low right. At 33 minutes Camilo Moreno led the Astros on a 3 on 2 rush and rolled a 12 yard shot that hit the left post. Lammie had a 4 yard shot stopped point blank by Perri near the right post at 65 minutes. Astros haven’t scored in their first two games of the season. Diego Maradona (nephew of famous namesake) looked much better in this; his second game although he drew a Yellow card at 58 minutes for a knee’s up challenge.
