Two first half goals by TFC Academy's Adrian Pena put his team well on the way to a 4-0 victory over London City in the only game played in the CSL Sunday. On Saturday, Trois-Rivieres Attak, looking to increase their 12-game unbeaten streak and maintain some dominance at the top of the National Division, did not disappoint the 2,053 fans in attendance by scoring a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over defending league champions Toronto Croatia at the University of Quebec Trois-Rivieres. Italia Shooters also strengthened their bid for division honours on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Windsor Border Stars at Windsor Stadium. On Friday night, a late winning goal from the penalty spot by prolific striker Selvin Lammie gave North York Astros a 3-2 victory over Brampton Lions, while Serbian White Eagles also scored an important win, a 4-1 result over Windsor Border Stars and a St. Catharines Wolves visit to London proved worthwhile for the Garden City side in their 1-0 victory over London City.

Pena opened the scoring at the 24th minute mark for TFC Academy on Sunday, Erick Olazabal made it 2-0 at 35 minutes, Pena struck his second and the Academy's third for a 3-0 lead just before the interval. Eros Olazabal scored the fourth goal for the Toronto team at the 65th minute mark.

TFC Academy improve to a 5-8-1 WLT record for 16 points, while London City are at 0-14-1 for one point.

Toronto Croatia took the lead on a strike by Hayden Fitzwilliams after 30 minutes in Saturday's game against Trois-Rivieres and held that lead until 76 minutes when Attak midfielder Hector Contreras scored from the penalty spot to tie the game 1-1, then was ejected following an altercation with an opposing player.

Forward Massimo Di Ioia scored the winner for the Quebec side with a picture goal from a direct free kick from 30 yards that sent the ball into the top corner of the net out of reach of Croatia goalkeeper Roy Blanche.

The Attak have now gone 13 games undefeated and lead the National Division with a 9-1-4 WLT record for 31 points, eight points ahead of North York Astros. Toronto Croatia are at 6-4-4 with 22 points in the International Division.

Italia Shooters broke a scoreless, but exciting contest with a goal at 84 minutes when forward Kadian Leckie found the net to give his team the three points over Windsor Border Stars. The border team suffered second defeat in 24 hours following the 4-1 loss to Serbian White Eagles on Friday night.

The win improves Italia to 10-3-1 for 31 points in the International Division, five more than second place Serbian White Eagles with 26.

Brampton forward Daniel Nascimento put his side up 1-0 at the 36 minute in the game with the Astros at Victoria Park in Brampton on Friday, it was Nascimento’s 12th of the season to lead the scoring race and the lead held up until the interval. North York forward Martin Artale tied the game 1-1 at 54 minutes and team-mate Franco Lalli made it 2-1 for the Astros just one minute later.

Forward Alex Braletic hit two goals for Serbian White Eagles, at 84 and 89 minutes in the 4-1 win over visiting Windsor Border Stars at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke, a game that always looked like a winner for the International Division team. Dragan Radovic opened the scoring for Serbia at 31 minutes, Milos Vucinic made it 2-0 at 56 minutes and Blake Ordell struck for the Border Stars at 80 minutes before Braletic’s late pair to make it a 4-1 final score.

London’s Rudy Pikuzinski scored in his own net to give St. Catharines Wolves the 1-0 victory at Cove Road in London. The visitors move to a 5-7-1 record for 16 points.

It was entertaining exhibition soccer at the BMO Field in Toronto where Armando Folis struck twice including the winner at 69 minutes for Barcelona of Ecuador in their 4-3 win over old South American rival, Millonarios of Colombia.
