Trois-Rivieres Attak will travel to Ontario to meet Italia Shooters in the CSL playoff semi-finals this Saturday afternoon and on Sunday, Toronto Croatia will host Serbian White Eagles to complete the first leg of a 2-game home and away series for the four surviving teams bidding for the CSL Championship.

Of the four semi-finalists, Trois-Rivieres Attak – the reserve team of the USL’s Montreal Impact - have not won a CSL Championship, unlike rivals Toronto Croatia, founded in 1956 with a CSL Championship win as recent as 2007 and Serbian White Eagles (CSL Champions 2008) and Italia Shooters (CSL Champions 2006).

But Trois-Rivieres Attak are favoured by many to win this year’s title following an impressive National Division title win this year, with a record that put the Quebec team on top of the overall 10-team CSL standings.

"The playoffs are a totally different competition than the regular season, but now that we have reached the semi finals, I believe we have a good chance of going all the way,” said Attak head coach Philippe Eullaffroy.

Trois-Rivieres Attak will visit Italia Shooters for their first semi-final game on Saturday, a 5 pm kickoff, while the following day on Sunday, Toronto Croatia will host Serbian White Eagles at Centennial Stadium, a 4 pm start.

The return games will be played the following weekend, October 16 – 18 and the CSL Championship Final will be played on October 24.
