VUKOVIC HITS SECOND HAT-TRICK IN 5-2 TFC ACADEMY VICTORY - Montreal vs. Croatia, Astros vs. Shooters end in ties.

TFC Academy striker Stefan Vukovic struck his second hat-trick in just two weeks to help his team to a 5-2 victory over Windsor Stars at Lamport Stadium 
in Toronto, one of three games in the CSL Saturday night.

In two earlier games, Montreal Impact Academy were held to a 1-1 tie at home in Montreal against Toronto Croatia and North York Astros played their 
season opener with a visit to York Region Shooters in Maple, where the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Vukovic, 18, scored all three goals in a 3-1 TFC Academy win over Montreal Impact Academy in the CSL season opener on May 6, and repeated the hat-trick 
by scoring  at 41, 59 and 80 minutes in the 5-2 victory Saturday.

Windsor Stars opened the scoring in that game when Robert Malbasic scored his first of two goals at the 17th minute mark, TFC’s Jordan Murrell tied the 
game 1-1 at 36 minutes before Vukovic put the home side ahead with his first goal for a 2-1 lead at the break.

Malbasic tied the game 2-2 at 52 minutes, but the the border team collapsed when TFC Academy scored three goals in the final 30 minutes, two by Vukovic 
and the fifth when Murrell put the ball past Windsor ‘keeper Anthony Santilli at 93 minutes for the 5-2 final score.

Toronto Croatia defender Lee Hagerdon gave his side a 1-0 lead at 37 minutes against Montreal Impact Academy at the Marie-Victorin Stadium and Karl 
Ouimette tied the game for the home side at the 54th minute mark.

Toronto Croatia were reduced to 10 for the late stages of the game when referee Matthieu Bourdeau showed the red card to midfielder Boris Tomac at the 
82nd minute mark, but the visitors defended well to preserve the 1-1 tie.

North York Astros took the lead at 41 minutes in the game played at the Joan of Arc ground in Maple, a goal by newcomer Nordo Gooden who found the net 
past York Region goalkeeper Camilo Benzi and midfielder Diego Maradona increased the lead to 2-0 for the Astros just before the break.

The Astros appeared to have the game in hand until the always prolific Kadian Lecky struck twice for York Region Shooters late in the game, he beat 
North York goalkeeper Enea Perego at 85 minutes, then again in injury time to salvage the 2-2 tie.
