HOME TEAMS GO DOWN AS TFC LOSE 2-1 TO VISITING CAPITAL CITY FC AND ST. CATHARINES SCORE A 2-1 VICTORY AT WINDSOR
SATURDAY, May 28

Capital City FC of Ottawa defeated TFC Academy 2-1 at Lamport Stadium in Toronto, while St. Catharines Wolves gained a 2-1 away victory over Windsor
Stars at Windsor Stadium, two games in the Canadian Soccer League Saturday night. There have been two additional games postponed in the CSL, both
in Brampton following the postponement earlier of games in London.

It was the Ottawa team’s first away game in the CSL and their first victory following a 2-0 loss in the home opener to Toronto Croatia on May 20.

TFC opened the scoring at 24 minutes on a goal by Jordan Hamilton, a low shot that beat Capital City goalkeeper Clinton Irwin for a 1-0 score
at half-time.

Forward Junior Ellis tied the game 1-1 for Capital City FC at 74 minutes and six minutes later TFC Academy were reduced to 10 men when goalkeeper
Angelo Cavalluzzo was ejected for tripping Capital City’s Alex Destine in the box.

TFC defender Nathan Kelsey took over the goalkeeper role and was beaten by Destine just four minutes later for the winning goal, a 2-1 final score
in favour of the visitors.

St. Catharines Wolves were reduced to 10 men in the first half when midfielder Scott McLellan was ejected, but it was the Garden City team that took
a 1-0 lead when Rudy Pikuzinski found the net at the 15th minute mark, and just seven minutes later St. Catharines went ahead 2-0 on a goal by midfielder
Matthew Stillman.

Windsor Stars fought back and reduced the deficit with a goal by midfielder Robert Malbasic who struck at 32 minutes, but the visitors held on for
their second successive win following a 2-1 victory over Toronto Croatia on May 15.

There are five games in the CSL First Division Sunday and two games in the Second Division, sometimes called the Reserve Division.

Three Sunday games have now been postponed in the CSL as a result of wet ground conditions. Brampton City Utd has been the latest club hit with
cancellations with both the First Division game Brampton City Utd. vs. SC Toronto off, and the Brampton City Utd. B vs. SC Toronto B has been wiped
out by rain over the past few days.
