June 15, 2011 CSL--details of Wednesday's game (from CSL website)

ST. CATHARINES WOLVES REDUCED TO 10-MEN BUT HOLD ON FOR SCORELESS TIE WEDNESDAY

St. Catharines Wolves, playing most of the game a man short following the ejection of Matthew Waddington in the first half, held Toronto Croatia
to a scoreless tie at Club Roma, St. Catharines, the only game played in the CSL Wednesday night.

Referee Mack Meloche pulled the red card to send Waddington out of the game at 19 minutes and the send-off provided the visitors with several
opportunities to take the lead and eventually win the game.

But strong play by Roma Wolves goalkeeper Craig Yanni, signed earlier this week after playing with the University of Buffalo, kept Toronto Croatia
off the scoresheet for an impressive debut.

Croatia ‘keeper Sandi Matika was also called upon to keep his side in the game, also made solid saves when the home side threatened to take the lead
and the game ended 0-0.

St. Catharines, in sixth place in the CSL First Division with just one loss in six games played, are at home to SC Toronto for their next game
on Wednesday,June 22, while Toronto Croatia, are second in the standings, trailing York Region Shooters by three points. Croatia are at home to the
Shooters on Sunday, an 8pm kickoff at Centennial Stadium before leaving on June 22 to take part in an annual international Croatian tournament
at Split, Croatia.
