TORONTO CROATIA, MISSISSAUGA EAGLES STROLL TO DECISIVE WINS SUNDAY 

Toronto Croatia are back in the runner-up position in the First Division standings following a 4-0 victory over Brampton City Utd and Mississauga 
Eagles FC also won decisively, a resounding 5-1 score over St. Catharines Wolves, two games played in the CSL First Division Sunday. Another game 
scheduled,  Brantford Galaxy vs. York Region Shooter, was postponed due to wet ground conditions.

Mississauga forward Dave Simpson opened the scoring at the Hershey Centre, he found the net after just two minutes for a 1-0 score at half time and 
struck a second goal at 61 minutes when he beat St. Catharines goalkeeper Claudio Perri. 

Midfielder Trustan Scott increased the lead to 3-0 when he cut in from the left wing to beat Perri with a shot into the top right corner at 64 minutes 
and Martin Artale increased the lead to 4-0 10 minutes later.

St. Catharines cut the lead to 4-1 with a goal at 76 minutes and Mississauga’s Darragh Roe took a cross from the right wing to score at 88 minutes 
for a 5-1 final.

Toronto Croatia midfielder Marin Vucemilovic Grgic  opened the scoring in the ninth minute against Brampton City Utd at Victoria Park in Brampton, 
for a 1-0 score at the interval.

Brampton goalkeeper Kodzo Awitor was sent off by referee Gianni Facchini just before the break for ‘Denying an Obvious Goalscoring Opportunity’ while 
handling the ball outside the box and was replaced by Roy Blanche.

Playing with 10 men, Brampton were down 2-0 at 65 minutes on a goal by Croatia’s Tihimor Maletic, his 10th of the season and Jonathan Bustemante 
increased the visitors’ lead to 3-0 with a powerful drive from 30 yards that entered the net off the left post.

Toronto Croatia rounded out the scoring at 4-0 at the 80th minute, a goal by defender Ainsley Deer.

The win moved Toronto Croatia into second position in the standings, it was their 13th win of the season and are now positioned four points behind 
the league-leading SC Toronto.

There was one other game scheduled in the CSL First Division Sunday, the Brantford Galaxy vs. York Region Shooters clash was postponed at Lions Park 
in Brantford following heavy rain in the hour leading to kickoff.
