CROATIA, CAPITAL CITY FC WRAP-UP REGULAR SEASON WITH VICTORIES 

Toronto Croatia and Capital City completed their regular season schedule with victories on Saturday night when the Ottawa team came from a 2-0 
second half deficit to win 3-2 and Toronto Croatia downed Windsor Stars 4-1.

Defender Halburto Harris scored the first of two goals to put the Toronto side in the lead at the 43rd minute at Windsor Stadium and Windsor`s 
Stephen Edemolu tied the game 1-1.

Harris scored his second goal to put the visitors ahead 2-1 at 53 minutes, Bozenko Lesina increased the lead to 3-1 at 55 minutes and forward Hugo 
Hererra made it 4-1 at 59 minutes.

There was no further scoring for a 4-1 final and the win gives Toronto Croatia an 18-3-5 record for 59 points in second place in the First Division. 
Croatia will meet the team to finish seventh in the two- leg quarterfinals of the CSL playoffs scheduled to get underway on October 7.

Capital City FC appeared headed for defeat in their final regular season game at the Terry Fox Stadium in Ottawa on two goals by Brantford Galaxy 
by Nenad Begovic at 45 minutes – he found the net from close in – and Ranko Golijanin at 53 minutes when he drove the ball from 16 yards following 
a defensive lapse by Capital City. It was the Galaxy forward`s ninth goal of the season.

But the home side recovered and midfielder Mahir Hadziresic scored a picture goal when he struck from 35 yards to catch the top right corner of the 
net for a 2-1 score at 71 minutes.

Forward Sullivan Silva, who came on as a substitute at 63 minutes, tied the game 2-2 when he picked up a pass from Hadziresic almost immediately 
after the resumption of play and Sullivan scored the winner when he again combined with Hadziresic for a 3-2 score in favour of Capital City FC, 
the goal coming at the 83rd minute mark.

The two goals by Silva were his 11th and 12th of the season.

Capital City FC complete their inaugural regular season with an impressive 15-4-7 record for 52 points. The Ottawa-based team is unbeaten in their 
last eight and will enter the CSL playoffs in pursuit of the CSL Championship meeting the sixth place team in the quarterfinals.

Remaining games in the CSL this weekend now have a switch in venue with Sunday`s First Division game between Brampton City Utd and St. Catharines 
Wolves and the Second Division clash between Brampton City Utd B vs. Serbian White Eagles B - both games will now be played at the Hershey Centre 
in Mississauga.
