BRAMPTON, SHOOTERS KEEP PACE WITH SUNDAY VICTORIES.... Toronto Croatia held 

Milos Scepanovic hat-trick helped Brampton City Utd defeat Windsor Stars 3-1, 
while York Region Shooters downed Burlington SC 4-1 to keep pace with Kingston FC 
at the top of the CSL standings, and in the late game Sunday night Toronto Croatia 
failed to find the net in a scoreless tie with SC Waterloo.

David Kadoic opened the scoring for Windsor Stars at Victoria Park in Brampton 
at 11 minutes when he drove the ball from 10 yards to the right of Brampton 
goalkeeper Eugenio Garro.

Milos Scepanovic struck his first goal at 36 minutes to tie the score 1-1, making 
no mistake with a penalty awarded by referee Manuel Orellana for hand ball. 
It was 1-1 at the break.

Scepanovic was fouled in the box at 75 minutes and took another penalty to score 
his second goal for a 2-1 Brampton lead and 12 minutes later, Brampton were down 
to 10 men when forward Marcos Nunes was shown the red card by referee Orellana 
for violent conduct.

Scepanovic completed his hat-trick at 92 minutes when he took a pass following 
a breakaway to drive the ball past Garro, a 3-1 final score.

It was goal number 11 this season for Milos Scepanovic and the win gives Brampton 
a 10-3-0 WLT record for 30 points and fourth in the standings, while Windsor Stars 
have a 6-6-3 record for 21 points.

Forward Ryan Dummett – usually a solid defender but playing up front – had York Region 
Shooters off to a good start at the St. Joan of Arc ground with a goal at the 15th minute 
mark. Dummett took  a pass from Mario Orestano he drove the ball past Burlington ‘keeper 
Vladimir Vujasinovic for a 1-0 lead.

Nicholas Lindsay tied the score for Burlington at 34 minutes, heading in a pass from Jamal 
Allison and the 1-1 score held to the half-time whistle.

Substitutions for the second half for the home side brought results with a goal 
at 72 minutes by midfielder Francisco Javier Perez who headed in from a cross by Dummett 
and Javier Perez scored a second and York Region’s third 10 minutes later when he found 
the net from a rebound to make it 3-1.

Shooters forward Kadian Lecky completed the scoring two minutes later, he found the lower 
right corner of the net after taking a pass from Orestano and the game ended 4-1 in favour 
of York Region Shooters who now have a 10-3-1 record for 31 points and tied for second 
position in the standings, while Burlington SC are at 4-9-0 for 12 points.

Toronto Croatia were held to a scoreless tie by SC Waterloo  at Centennial Stadium, a game 
with lots of midfield play but few scoring opportunities.

Ranko Golijanin was the main threat for SC Waterloo but strikes were off the mark and forward 
Tihomir Maletic drove an opportunity over the bar early in the second half.

Toronto Croatia have a 9-2-4 record for 31 points, tied for second in the standings with 
York Region Shooters, while SC Waterloo have a 5-5-4 record for 19 points and a mid-table 
7th position in the standings.
