7 min...Sigma Thomas long run up right and rolls centeirng pass to sigma Jodah but the ball deflects to goalie
to pick up.

Spencer King on the left side of the box and his rushed clearance is only rolled to Borges
at 22 yards in the middle. He stops the ball and sends a low shot past the goalie and defender
Kaeson Trench who slid and got a piece of it but the ball rolls over him and into the net.

enough water bottles for everyone.

an off balance 30 yarder well over net and over three story high back netting!

Halftime: It's getting hotter and more humid. The TFC subs stay out at halftime. The Sigma subs come out from
the dressing room five minutes earlier than the rest of the team.

ball at 8 yards before he can get to it.

and centers cross to Essoussi. Essoussi steps up to 35 yard line and takes low blast up middle that's between players
and into low left side of net past diving goalie Triston Henry.

Attendance was about 75 on this Sunday morning (a bit better than average). This was
a matchup of the first place teams and a rematch of the League Cup semi-final held here
three weekends ago when TFC won on Penalty kicks.

Charlie Anagho-Ntamark scored what turned out to be the winning goal. He also scored the
winning goal on Sigma's Wednesday night game against Aurora FC. Today's goal must have
seemed all the more sweet because he was the player who hit the outside of the right post
in the in the eighth round of P Ks that set-up TFC III to score and win. Also very efficient
in that he'd only been subbed on one minute earlier.

The first Sigma goal was scored by Tristan Borges who was recently signed by Sigma after
returning from playing for Heerenveen U21s of the Dutch league since the days when he was
on their U19 team. He played in the TFC Academy at least up to 2015 (I found an old report
in my archives). Daniel Jodah also played for TFCA before leaving for Marshall University.
There's usually an ex-TFCA player or two in his early twenties on each of the L1O GTA
area teams.

Triston Henry continues to be the league's premier goalie only allowing his fourth goal
today. He's played every minute in Sigma's eleven league games this season and has
a GAA of 0.36.

The win moves Sigma up to a record of 9 wins, 0 losses, and 2 ties for 29 points. That's
three points ahead of both TFC III and FC London and a game in hand on TFC III. It is
possible that TFC III will pass Sigma in the short term because they are starting to play
twice a week so they can finish their schedule a month early and join the USSDA league
for the start of September. TFC III will not participate in the L1O playoffs running
from the end of September to early October. From what I've heard there is no 'Shield'
award for finishing in first place.

I had caught a linescore from a two weeks ago that Kunle Dada-Luke was an unused player
in TFC II USL league 'home' game in Rochester against Nashville that ended at 10:00pm
on Saturday night. He then was a starter in the Sunday 1:00pm L1O game against
Pro Stars FC here in Downsview. I asked him after today's game how he could get back
from Rochester so fast. He said by bus so my dream that he'd get a flight back
by Bill Manning's private jet was shattered. That's about 300km by road.

Having the TFC III game so early in the morning and the field in Downsview being
so close to the only north-south subway line working this weekend got me downtown
soon enough to see TFC and then TFC II play.
