Louisville, Toronto Contest Rescheduled By USLSoccer.com Staff, 07/06/18, 11:00AM EDT Game moved to August 28 due to City FC’s Open Cup Quarterfinal vs. Chicago TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced on Friday that the regular-season contest between Louisville City FC and Toronto FC II scheduled for Wednesday, July 18 had been rescheduled to accommodate Louisville’s Quarterfinal in the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire that night. The game at Louisville Slugger Field will now be played on Tuesday, August 28, with kickoff remaining scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Louisville advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Open Cup for the first time in club history following victories against the New England Revolution in the Fourth Round and fellow USL club Nashville SC in the Round of 16. The meeting with the Fire will be the second between the clubs in the competition, with Chicago having taken a 1-0 victory after extra time in the Fourth Round in the 2015 edition of the tournament.
