August 28, 2021 League 1 Ontario Men's Premier Division...1812 FC Barrie vs Masters FA (game report by Rocket Robin)

Result and details of the Saturday August 28, 2021 League1 Ontario Men's Premier League game between
1812 FC Barrie and Masters FA scheduled to be played at Terry Fox Stadium in Brampton at 6:00pm.

This game was never started because of thunder and lightning in the distance. The storm eventually
came overhead during the delay. After about 90 minutes the game was called off with agreement from the teams
as someone phoned for the weatherforecast that another storm was following this one. Players for each team
were chosen on a 'dare ya' basis to collect the extra soccer balls and ice chests left over at the benches
when the players cleared the field before the rain actually started.

A game can only start or restart 30 minute after the last bolt of lightning. Things looked good
in ten minute intervals but a bolt in effect reset the countdown clock.

The rain helped cool the air from the record hot weather the city has experienced during the last week.

Captains Navid Rahman (8) of 1812 FC and Triston Frankson (14) of Masters FA watch the coin flip with referee John O'Hara.
