He was upset and near the entrance to the field so stormed out of that gate back to the locker room.

93 min...MA goalie out to 40 yards on sideline to step through ball.

Attendance was about 70 on this cold night (quite a contrast in temperature from the game I attended
in Mississauga at 1:00pm this afternoon).

Genius move to insert Exxose Kadiebue at halftime and him to score after one minute of action
although the story as told by Woodbridge assistant coach Michael Aquino while I was asking
for a game sheet before the game is that he was late for the warm up so it wasn't fair
to start him cold.

Masters regular goalie Spiridon Koskinas was at the game but not even the backup tonight.
Tayjon Campbell who I usually see inserted in the last five minutes of a game (if Masters don't have
a shutout) was the starter tonight.

This game didn't matter in the standings for Masters who had already clinched second place in the
Eastern Conference meaning a place in the playoffs. They have one more game this season and that's
against first place Vaughan Azzurri. That game may be cagey as these teams will meet in the final
if both beat their counterparts in the West.

Woodbridge started the season with five losses and one tie and now have won five games in a row
and are the hottest team in the league but too late to make the post season. With most teams
finished their schedule, they have one more game and will move into third place in the East with
a win.

I spoke to Woodbridge head coach Peter Pinizzotto before the game about the turnaround. I had seen
them hit the low point of their season September 19th when they held first place Vaughan Azzurri
to a scoreless tie until Raheem Rose turned and fired a shot into the top corner at 92 minutes
beating goalie Alexander Pothemont to leave Woodbridge with nothing. In the month since they've
won every game.

Woodbridge has earned three shutouts in the following five games with Pothermont playing
the full 90 in all these games. He had to make a huge save on a breakaway at 95 minutes—the last
play of tonight's game.

Pinizzotto reminded me of the times they played a man down for games early in the season and the
late assembly of the roster to begin pre season practices. With an abbreviated season he knew
it would be difficult to make the playoffs.

Masters have all their suspended players and staff back except head coach Rick Titus. He was
suspended for seven games for an incident at the Vaughan Azzurri game of September 4th and tonight
is their seventh game so......unless the suspension was slow to take effect he may be back on Tuesday
night for their final game of the season against Vaughan. Definitely he'd be back by the weekend
when the playoffs start. It's not a secret now as he's not violating the rules that he's
in the crowd (not unfair that I recognize his voice after 25+ years watching him) giving the odd
instruction “Get back and cover him”.
