YORK UNITED SIGNS FOUR NEW PLAYERS AND COMPLETES ROSTER FOR 2021 SEASON

Jordan Faria, Gerard Lavergne, Terique Mohammed and Osvaldo Ramirez all arrive ahead of the CPL
campaign's kick-off.

Toronto, ON (June 2, 2021) – York United Football Club is thrilled to announce four new signings
and the completion of its active roster for the 2021 season.

Jordan Faria, Gerard Lavergne, Terique Mohammed and Osvaldo Ramirez are the fresh faces and the
final pieces in what's been a complex jigsaw puzzle. Owing to the various administrative
repercussions of Covid-19, delays in the processing of visas for South American quartet
Lisandro Cabrera, Mateo Hernández, Sebastian Gutierrez and William Wallace has ensured they
are not listed in the active roster.

"It has been a challenging time but I'm very happy with how we have adapted to some difficult
circumstances and brought in some quality additions to the squad," says Angus McNab, the club's
CEO/President & GM.

Faria, a native of Brampton, ON, has signed for the 2021 season, with a club option for 2022.
The 20-year-old midfielder has represented Canada at underage level, working closely alongside
York United FC assistant coach Paul Stalteri during that time. He's most recently played with
Toronto FC II and accumulated an abundance of experience in the United Soccer League (USL),
racking up over 30 appearances and scoring twice.

"Jordan is a really promising young player and he's also a local boy," says McNab.

"We are very excited to have him join this group."

Mohammed, born in Toronto and raised in Scarborough, joins on loan for the 2021 season from well-known
League of Ireland side Dundalk FC. At club level, the 21-year-old left-back is a former team-mate
of Faria's at Toronto FC II and has plenty of USL experience. Prior to his switch to Dundalk earlier
this year, Mohammed was with CPL side Edmonton FC and featured prominently in The Island Games
tournament in 2020. At a national level, he's been involved in multiple Canada underage squads,
including Paul Stalteri's U-17s as well as the U-20s.

"Terique has worked with our staff before and is known to everyone in the league from his performances
with Edmonton last year," says McNab.

"He's coming here to play games and compete for a starting role. It strengthens our defensive options
even more and we are delighted to have him."

22-year-old Lavergne, from the Dominican Republic, has signed for the 2021 season, with a club option
for 2022. The central midfielder is a senior international for his country, having made his debut
in 2018. He's already featured nine times, with his most recent a starting role in a friendly against
Serbia in January of this year. Lavergne impressed significantly while with Atletico Pantoja
and his performances there led to a move to USL side FC Tucson earlier this year. He also boasts
CONCACAF Champions League experience owing to his time with first club Cibao FC.

"Gerard is someone I looked at prior to him signing with Tucson," says McNab.

"Any time you get a player with international experience it is positive and he was fantastic
at Pantoja last season."

Ramirez, a 24-year-old Mexican striker, has signed for the 2021 season, with club options for 2022
and 2023. Most recently with Cancun FC of the Liga de Expansion MX, the powerful attacker provides
a different dimension up top.

"Ozzy is a player that brings a real physical presence and represents another option for us,"
says McNab.

"He's strong with his back to goal and links play well."

With the roster for the upcoming season now finalized, McNab still remains hopeful that
the South American contingent could potentially feature at some stage.

"We still hold out hope that the visa situation will be resolved for Mateo, Lisandro, Sebastian,
and William," he says.

"But we've had to make moves to ensure the roster is completed so we will be ready to start the season."
