York United FC announce new head coach Martin Nash

Audio from the Zoom call press conference: 20 minutes 19 seconds
audio recorded by Rocket Robin

The MC was Eoin O'Callaghan team president Angus McNab makes the announcement.

McNab outlines a number of factors that made the decision to find a new head coach.
He discusses the number and quality of the candidates who applied.

Nash was an assistant coach with CPL Cavalry FC in their first three years of existence.

Nash makes some opening comments about his appointment.

Now the questions start at the 5 minute mark. (If I asked the question it's marked in Bold)

What drew you to York and what did you use to assess the squad?
Why did you feel it was the right time to step away from Cavalry to become a head coach?
What exactly will you bring to York to push them forward?
Can you highlight the guys you will build around and some of the new additions made in the last few weeks?
What did the process of using video scouting/analysis and presentations in choose a head coach. What did
this process look like to you?
(for McNab) What did you see in Nash's application to choose him?
(for McNab) What stage would your roster be in right now?
(for Nash) Are you going to be working with the other coaches already with the team or will they
be staying at all?
Have you been able to meet with the roster yet? When will the preseason start?
What have been some of the influences throughout your career as a player and coach that you take with you?

McNab then finishes by thanking the staff from Cavalry FC for their co-operation and transparancy
for letting us talk to Martin Nash.
