YORK UNITED SIGNS MUSLIM UMAR AND ANDREW ROMANO TO DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS

The pair have already been involved with team training.

York United FC can confirm the signings of two new players to development contracts.

18-year-old midfielder Muslim Umar was born in Lagos, Nigeria before moving to Canada
and settling in Edmonton. Having previously been a part of the FC Edmonton underage setup,
he was most recently with the Whitecaps FC Academy and is an exciting and creative talent,
possessing a potent mix of speed, skill and control.

16-year-old goalkeeper Andrew Romano, a native of Vaughan, ON, is a highly-rated young
prospect and has worked with York United GK and Assistant Coach Camilo Benzi for many years.

Meanwhile, Terique Mohammed's loan has been terminated and he now returns to League
of Ireland side Dundalk FC.

We thank Terique for his contributions to the club this season and wish him the best
for the future.
