TORONTO FC Toronto FC sign Antonoglou and Pearlman to short-term agreement By Toronto FC Communications @TorontoFCMR Friday, Apr 15, 2022, 06:28 PM Toronto FC has signed defenders Themi Antonoglou and Adam Pearlman to a short-term loan agreement from Toronto FC II, the club announced today. Per MLS rules, the short-term agreement allows clubs to sign players on loan from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions League, Canadian Championship and exhibition matches. Antonoglou, 20, has spent three seasons (2019, 2021, 2022) with Toronto FC II where he’s made 23 appearances and scored four goals for TFC II. He made his professional debut when he started against Richmond Kickers on August 17, 2019. Antonoglou originally joined the Toronto FC Academy in January 2015. Pearlman, 17, recently signed his first professional contract with Toronto FC II, and made his debut with TFC II against New York City FC II on April 10. He represented Toronto FC Academy in Ontario Player Development League and U.S. Soccer Development Academy across the U-12 to U-19 age groups from 2016 to 2021.
