I was sorting through my late mother's personal papers and came across a bag of what turned out to be
my late aunt's personal papers. Inside were what looked like two newsletters from 1968 from the
North American Soccer League. I have no idea why she would have had them as she had no interest in sports.

This would be just over 20 years before any serious fandom started with me for soccer but looking back
it is fascinating to see even the names of teams and cities they played in, as well as name dropping
players and coaches and tours that the teams were undertaking before the season started.

Anyway I hope you enjoy reading the tales of yesteryear!

No preprinted league letterhead, just neatly typed on 8 1/2 x 14 inch letter paper.

First four pages were part of a February 29, 1968 'important notice'

Second newsletter is undated but I'd estimate it was one week later as in the third paragraph it mentions "...with the official opening of the season just a bit over three weeks away..."
