Here is the schedule for the Canadian National Soccer League for the 1997 season. This year there are once again seven teams but there is quite a change from the 1996 year.
The seven teams that are operating this year are:
St Catharines Roma Wolves (Club Roma in St Catharines)
London City (Cove Road Field in London)
Hamilton White Eagles (Brian Timmins Stadium in Hamilton)
Toronto Supra (Lamport Stadium in Toronto)
North York Talons (Esther Shiner Stadium in North York and Birchmount Stadium in Scarborough)
Toronto Croatia (Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke)
Kosova Albanians (Esther Shiner Stadium in North York)
Teams play each other once home and away (12 games) in League play and repeat that for the Cup competition (12 games). The first place team in the League wins the League Championship. The top two finishers in the Cup competition meet in the Cup Finals (two game home and away). The top four finishers in the League competition meet in a knockout stage home and away 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 then the winners play each other home and away for the Playoff trophy.

A league meeting was held and both Hamilton White Eagles and North York Talons were suspended for the remainder of the season. All results involving these teams will be expunged from the standings. The schedule was amended yet again but one benefit is it will end two weeks earlier so the playoffs can start before it gets too cold.
