Attendance was around 40 on this cold cloudy evening and it was dark before the game ended. There were just a few more than the family Christening I'd been at in the afternoon however I was glad I could get to one of todays CPSL games. The others started at 4:00pm but this one was pretty exciting. I hadn't seen the Astros win in two years.
Guillermo Compton Hall played in the top division in Argentina and looked world class in this game in fact in the second half he could have doubled his total with more accurate shooting. Hitmen have been hit hard by injuries and had to scrap to get eleven players on the field.
With normal PA man Ennio leaving the booth for a family emergency, I took over announcing goals and Yellow cards and changing the scoreboard. This distracted me from seeing the whole picture of who got the assists taking my eyes off the players turning around to catch their numbers. Still it was fun and I tried to plug tickets for the Playoffs which Astros are hosting when I got the message in the second half to 'hard sell' and did a little trash talking to drum up business which was easier with a big lead.
